You would hate me

You would hate me if I say,

Life ain’t an easy affair.

If I remind you of the dull clouds,

That before the rain the sky must wear.

That for living the morning you cannot skip the night,

And a river becomes even more gorgeous with each and every bight.

You would hate me if I say,

Everything has its own time.

If I try to make you believe,

That not all poems rhyme.

You will never trust me if I tell you,

Dark times test you like a bait.

So I would keep on dancing to the tune of,

Everything happens for a reason and that’s great.

Office of Dead Letters Is an attempt to bring out the hush-hush and under-the-mattress topics that social convention dictates we never accept. It is an attempt to realize and accept things about ourselves we've been conditioned to confine. At ODL, take back what is yours and claim your story.
